I've just invested in a Lee Filter Holder and a set of the Hi Tech ND and ND grabs and would also like to add a circular polarizer to the set up.

Can someone briefly advise me how the addition of a circular polarizer would work?

Do I need to buy a 105mm circular polarizer and the additional holder or can you buy a circular polarizer to fit the len (52mm) in this case and then add the filter system afterwards.

Slightly confused.

After advice I brought the 105mm cpla and mount for the front of the lee holder. The reason was having tried to turn a cpl mounted to the lens with the holder on, it was virtually impossible and when you did turn the filter the holder turned as well, just not worth the hassle.

the 105mm is expensive but is easier for rotation as Davec223 said

also will be big enough for all lenses so no need to 'upgrade' later

Thanks for clearing this up guys.

I've heard positive stuff about the Heliopen so given the reduced price will probably plump for that.

The Heliopan is indeed very good and on the odd occaision I have used it with a holder and grads all I can say is it is possible but time consuming not difficult or impossible and if you are getting one the thin frame is the way to go.

For anyone interested in using filters with the GF1 its worth noting that there is a Lee RF75 filter holder which will significantly reduce the bulk of the filter holder.

There is an additional circular polarizer that clips on. Thats all.
