Yes
I've only ever been to one circuit, Silverstone.

I'm from Luton and this is the closest track to me (43 miles) and takes around 45 minutes to get there (on a good day)

I'm limited to this one track as i dont have a car of my own and have to get a lift off my Dad.

Next year i'm hoping to get to a few more tracks once i have a car :)

How far do you all travel?

Live down the road from Silverstone. Been to Mexico, Shanghai... As for driving to get there - anywhere in the UK, as well as Spa, Le Mans etc.

Live in Cheshire, only 9 miles from Oulton Park, so I'm there quite a lot. I go to Silverstone 3 or 4 times per year, depending what's on, the same with Donington. The furthest I've ever gone is Spa, I've been to three LMS races there (2004, 2007, 2008).

live in northumberland and drive to croft (45 mins)

drove to the following
Knockhill 4 times last year (3 1/2 hours each way)
Cadwell 3 hours each way
Silverstone 4 1/2 hours each way
Donington 4 Hours each way

hopefully i will drive to outlon next year or malory

Done Silverstone 3 times this year (live just up the road from you in Flitwick), as well as Lydden Hill, Cadwell, Donington and Snetterton once each. Also went to Knockhill but I did holiday in Scotland this year so that one I obviously didn't travel just for the track....

Live in central scotland and have travelled to just about every circuit in the uk following my nephew who races bikes.

Brands Hatch probably the furthest drive about 9 hrs:eek:. Been there about 4 or 5 times.

Also been to thruxton which is bit further but managed to get a cheap flight for that one :)

Live in Essex but this year been to Rockingham, Goodwood, Brands Hatch (about 10 times so far) Snetterton, Rally stages in Ipswich and next month Wembley for ROC. Furthest we've travelled would be Donington, but not this year.

Brands is about 15 mins from home, Canada Heights about 20 mins, Lydden about 40 mins but this year also been to Thruxton, Foxhill, Mallory Park and Leirop in the Netherlands.... probably some more next year.

To be honest the fuel prices this year knocked out most of my planned longer trips - it just got silly! Hopefully next year I'll get to some of the places planned but not got to this year...

9 miles from Oulton. Takes me 15 minutes if my dad gives me a lift or 45 minutes if I go on my puish bike. 18 miles there and back :gag:

Brands is 35 minutes. Lydden is about 1hr 5 although the record is 59 minutes ;)

Also done Snett (2 1/2hours), Combe (2 hrs), Silverstone (1 1/2 hours), etc. Want to do all of those again next year plus Oulton. And Thruxton. Plus I've been pencilled in for a Cadwell trip :o

live in london and the furthest i've driven is either to knockhill or spa. not sure which is the furthest.
when it comes to Le Mans i take the TGV and sit in the bar drinking Duvel at 180mph.. Its the only way to travel..

and now to move this thread :)

Been to Australia, Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Canada plus I think just about every circuit in The UK (certainly all the main ones) and many in Europe.

wow some of you travel quite far. i going to try i get down brands hatch tomorrow but my dad normally says its to far, its only 1hr or so .

spa sounds good.

Donington is the closest for me..about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

Brands is the furthest, took me 3.5 hours to get there.

Oulton park is the other one, about 1 to 1.5 hours to get there.

Drove towards snetterton one time, took about 4-5 hours, but i was in a convoy and we did stop several times.

And the norisring ive been to...but not driven there, as its in nuremberg, southern germany.

:)

furthest I've been is Duns in the borders for the motox, roughly a 4.5 hour drive

This year, Snetterton twice, Brands Hatch once.

In other years, F1 at Silverstone 1998, Brand Hatch 1986, 1984 Brazil GP at Rio, 2002 Brazil GP at Sao Paulo.

Mallory Park in pre-history.

Edward

spa sounds good.

It's a wonderful place, and very good for photography too, if you don't mind walking a bit. Me and my Dad always walk the entire lap during the LMS race when we're there, some of the views and scenery from up at the top of the hill at Rivage are amazing. If you cross the track and stand at the inside of Pouhon, you're no more than 10-15 feet from the cars, with only a waist high wire fence and the armco between you and the track :)

Took me 55 mins to get to Oulton yesterday on my push bike. It is extremely tiring. I got a lift how though :woot: I managed to get a puncture :bang:
