Every time I shoot these things i can never get them as I want them, to look like CHROME KNOBS!!!! Any special tip i've missed?
 
Any clue as to what you're currently doing / getting?

Various lights, soft boxes, spot, white card wrapped around, photoshoping etc. The problem is getting it to look chrome not brushed chrome, taking all the light reflections out or some black background leaves it flat white or brushed chrome looking. It will go next to the other colours in the cat. so it obviously has to look chrome.
 
Maybe a couple of coloured LEDs to give you definite highlights?
 
Sometimes, too much reflection is an issue, a bit of hair lacquer can help

One single soft box 6ft away, white paper curled around about 110 degrees from other side, paper top and bottom. Just managed to squeeze the camera in there somewhere lol. PS out reflection of camera but leaving in some black to give the chrome effect. Thanks for the input guys but think i managed to sort it.

I'd go with the softbox much closer, have you seen this?
