How good is chromakey these days?

How much PP does it require?

Anyone got any example of some wow results?
 
It's as good as it's ever been, I guess. Which is another way of saying, it depends on how well it's shot. And whether you've been careful about what colours you allow in your shots - I really did see a director shoot a boy band dressed in blue jeans and denim jackets against blue; better yet, I was asked to key it. Movie, not stills.

Stills work, it's a no brainer; whatever you get you can get something out of it. You have the luxury of time because it's only one frame and if worst comes to worse you can just paint it. Moving images, I've done roto work on movies and you usually end up doing some paint work but jeez, pay someone else to do it. Real people can get damaged.
