It's that time of year again... I come home and constantly get asked what i want for Christmas. I can't think of anything under £300 :lol:

my dad broke the glass thing on my coffee machine and i really love coffee so i asked for a new coffee machine :D I hope santa reads these forums too :D

Haha, my mum works in a posh kitchen shop, so i get lots of things for the kitchen :)

I'm thinking 430ex (not sure i'd really use it though), sigma 10-20 (probably too expensive), ipod nano (not sure i'd use that either!), and that's where my ideas finish :( I need to think of more affordable things, but i find it so hard! and money for Christmas is just so boring.
 
I got my Christmas/birthday presents to myself already:

Looks like I won't be buying anything for the next year or so! :lol:
 
Nifty fifty - but I've already got it! I couldn't wait till xmas and kept hassling till she gave in and let me have it!
 
i want kitchenware too, a nice global knife or 2 would be nice.

bought the mrs a bag today, again not your prada but a dakine heli-pack for snowboarding this year. though i'd like the new dakine photobag, but at £100 i'm not sure i can swing it.

Anybody know where my wife can get me some photo quality gloves ? ie something to keep my fingers warm that are good enough to fiddle with my 300d controls.
 
I got a pair for like £3 from a local army and navy store. Warm with the tops off for camera control.

I got a pair from Blacks 2 weeks ago for a tenner.
Theyre fingerless, fleece, and have grip on the plams & down to the first fingerjoint, I love em .... oh! and theyre black of course! ;)

Maplin are having a sale on, they've got an armless jackets that are also heated (powered by batteries). May well be getting one of those for Jan/Feb/Mar bike races.

Got a pair of these too, very good, only crit is it would have been nice if they had a fold down 'flap' to go over you fingers like a mit, that then could be velcrode back when needing to get your fingers out. :thinking:

Have a look at some of the fishing gloves, I used to have a pair which were made by Barbour, they were neoprene and the very tips of the fingers had a split so they could be folded back.

I've asked for Jessops vouchers. I know I know but I really want a flashgun which nobody will buy me outright so the best I can hope for is vouchers towards it. Having said that I've been asked to porduce a calendar for the local motorsport club so I might put the vouchers towards some new glass instead.

Also if you check hunting supply stores and there are often gloves you can get where your trigger finger can be covered or uncovered. We just use them for a different kind of trigger.

Was hoping to get a new lens for my E1, showed the wife she fell off her chair and said a few words that are unrepeatable so i took that as no. (too expensive) will have to think of something else.

I was looking for my local Famous Army Stores not so long ago, as I used to frequent them alot when I was a kid.

Now I want some camos and stuff for going out and taking photos.....guess what......they went bust in 04 :(
