Yes
Is it just me or do people seem to be putting them up earlier and earlier. Saw loads of houses decorated yesterday.. I'd be bored with them by the 15th let alone the 25th!!!

Humbug lol.

We've a few round us that were fully decorated inside and out this weekend ...

Seems about a week early to me

My inner Grinch is rattling the bars of the cage it lives in during the rest of the year. Going to have to let him out very soon I fear ....

Only a week? I feel I'm putting them up early if I get the tree up on the 19th rather than the 24th..

Yesterday? That's nothing, i went to see the parents 2/3 weeks ago and one of the neighbours had already covered their entire front garden in plastic Xmas decorations.

I have seen one house leave them up all year round just doesn't turn them on!!

They should go up on 24th if they must go up at all.

Pete replied - and down on the 26th for preference

Better still, not up at all.

I dont mind having a 'small' amount of decs in the house, and by small I mean just a tree :)

However, we normally dont put the tree up until the 12th December at the very earliest, and it comes down again on the 1st January. I can understand people who have young children wanting to put them up early as it adds to the build up for them, and ties in nicely with them openning the first window of their advent calendars on the 1st December. We will probably do the same when our little one is old enough to understand.

OUr lad will be 3 in January and he is now getting the concept of Christmas and Santa. We did the decorations in sync with his advent calendar which he is so enamoured by, the wife and I are thinking of returning his present's as clearly some haribo in a wooden train advent are far more exciting.

He also loves Santa's portal that I created with some lights round the fire.

Ours are all up.

In the loft, where they'll be staying!

Ours will go up this weekend, youngest is 6 and eager.... (I am too)We just have a tree and a few bits, I don't have full on stuff everywhere!

I will like it initially.... Until 5 minutes later when the cat sees his first xmas tree and wrecks it :D

Once xmas day is done I'll be itching to get rid!

The cat is very impressed too, looking at that image :D

"How the hell can I get that shiny thing down here and knock it around the room?"

Has Jet done the decent thing and hidden that bauble under the sofa while thinking "If I'M not allowed balls, I'm buggered if that tree can have even one..."

What that I'm eager to put the tree up?

no , what you wrote was that you are six and eager to put the tree up too , i was saying that although you don't look 41 six is pushing the bounds of credibility.... never mind

:D:D Ahhh yes, i guess in brackets i should have added eager NOT 6 with the i am too:p

Mine went up yesterday as the GF was home yesterday in the middle of a London stint of work, so was something to cheer her up! Plus after this we aren't home together until Christmas...

It was a bit early in my opinion, I'd have waited another weekend if it was up to me. As a kid it used to get up no more than 7 days before Christmas and stay up until the 6th Jan.
