Christmas 2012 Bah Humbug Thread

It is with great regret and with a heavy heart that I feel I must tender my resignation from this most beloved of threads.

The tree is up, and I have been "decking the halls".

It was peer pressure...honestly. I....I didn't want it to go up, but well...all the neighbours have thiers up, and they were starting to call me the Grinch......

Go on, they said....put the tree up....maybe some lights.....you know you want to really. I didn't want to, I swear....but I just couldn't help it....I looked everyone elses and thought, well, maybe just one....I can't hurt.

Oh God.......... I'll get my coat :shake::shake::shake:

Funny how people at work that have blanked me all year think I might like to talk to them just because "jingle bells" is on the radio :nono: :razz: ;)
 
All I can say is thank goodness for Facebook...... I posted a message telling all my friends and family that as far as I was concerned that I would not be accommodating anyone with gifts, cards or pointless Christmas style parties...... so far I have not sent out received a card, a Christmas wish and no invites to said parties......LIFE IS SWEET......

Well, having ordered my self gift a short while ago, I've had the best possible present from the DVLA - they have received my reapplication for my driving license so as far as they're concerned, I can start driving again, just in time to pick my present up tomorrow! Excited? Moi? Vous betez!!!
 
Congrats Nod that's excellent news!!

I did feel christmassy for about a day and a half. Now not so much. I fear I may have peaked too early :lol:
 
Tree never comes down - it's a real one with roots in a pot! Might move it to near the back door this year - didn't have the energy or inclination last year. We've even got a string of outdoor lights for it this year!

Half tempted to name the Jag after the big cat at the Dartmoor wildlife park but Sovereign is a bit clichéed as a name for a Jaguar!

Still no tree up in our house yet, tree is in the loft and Mrs B's arse is too big for the hatch so looks like the kids will have to go up tomorrow :lol:

I may have to say farewell to the humbug thread for another year, as I was in 'the works' earlier (no one can say i don't push the boat out on presents) and I bought a daft reindeer shaped hat :suspect:
