TBH I don't know why they just don't leave all the Xmas stuff on the shelves and we can go straight into Xmas 2014

If it gets much bloody earlier, that will be the most sensible thing to do

I know exactly what you mean, wandering around the big chains,
A week before the "big day"
all the perishable stuff you want for Christmas has a expiry date on the 24th Dec.
I'm sure that its not a deliberate act of course though

Mine pies have an expected shelf life of 3 days here these days. I used to get through a box in a sitting but can now restrain myself to just a single pie.
