I see the problem with buying more lenses, it means I will use what I have less..

I have a 5dm3 body, 85mm 1.2 LII, 135mm F2 L, CZ 35mm 1.4 Distagon.

I'm considering the CZ 21mm 2.8, however I'm concerned about how much use my 35mm 1.4 will get thereafter, especially when I've been trying to use it more of late.
I could take into consideration I have a one off wedding later this year, and perhaps having a wide angle lens will offer some interesting perspectives.

I guess I'm trying to figure out, if you had a 21mm 2.8 MF and 35mm 1.4 MF how would you use them?

Is this a real question.. or is GAS clouding my mind..

A 21 and a 35 aren't really substitutes. If you need something wider than a 35, buy one. If you don't, don't. But what *I* would do with them is irrelevant to you.

sit down a think of the situations in which you will actually use it. that way you will see I you really need it or you think you need it

Well I 'want' the 21mm for landscapes, the 35mm just isn't wide enough.

I can imagine the 21mm fast becoming my walkabout lens and I'm afraid I'll use my 35mm less because of it.

I'm sure there will be plenty of times I will still want to use the 35mm, especially at night - I just have to believe that :) - oh and it's got that small DOF I keep failing to nail focus on ..
