I disturbed Rebecca for a last minute picture before she went to sleep.

The lack of sleep over weekend must finally be catching up with her as she was in bed for 8:30 tonight!

Rebecca seems to do well with her spends and manages to save up for the things she wants, but its usually a case of "Dad, can you collect something for me if i give you the money!!!"

"Natural Light Portrait"

I collected a Panasonic GF-1 and 20mm 1.7 Lens today, and what better way to give them a test run that to shoot some natural light stuff of Rebecca :-)

I must say hopw impressed i am with the GF-1 - it's just one of the camera that begs to be used - especially with the 20mm on there.

Thanks Marc - gotta teach 'em basic survival skills :D Too many kids and young parents rely on take-aways and junk food. Its nice to have home cooked meals.

Tonights is my legendary home made lasagne :D

"Thoughtful..."

We have many conversations with the girls about the meaining of Rememberence day, to help them to understand qwhat sacrifices people have made, and are still making, to ensure that they have a future.

"Grate Expectations!"

Cheesy Veg Bake night again, and Rebecca is once again helping. Threw some Smokey Bacon Rashers on top with grated cheese tonight - Yummy!!

Its the leftover veg from Sunday Lunch.

Its a layer of sliced roast spuds, a layer of onions and mushrooms, then the veg, then the bacon. Add 1/2 pint cheese sauce and top with grated chedder.

DONE! (slaps hand in Gordon Ramsey style!! :D )

"Its a Bit 'Nippy' This Morning!!"

As i was taking Rebecca to the Orthadontist this morning, i also took Caitlin to School. It was a bit cold so she grabbed her wooly hat to keep her warm!

"In The Chair.....Again!"

Rebecca was at the Orthadontist again today to have a check-up on her retainers. The Orthadontist is very pleased with her progress, and says that instead of requiring 4 teeth out, she may get away with only having one tooth out - RESULT!!
 
I've been working out in 6C lately.
Can't wait for winter...

Rather her than me in that chair!

"And To Cap It All....."

Wednesday night is a bit of a mad rush for Caitlin, with Craft Club, Dancing, and Brownies. By the time she gets in at 8:15 ish, there just enough time for a quick shower then its off to bed for a well deserved sleep!
 
Just caught up with your 365 on flickr Chris. Great shots and what a wonderful record of your girls growing up through this year. Wish I could do this with my nipper, but he runs away when the camera goes anywhere near him! You're lucky to have such willing subjects!

I really like your shooting style - what camera are you using these days?
 
Thanks Dave, I guess i am really lucky in the fact that my girls enjoy having their picture taken, and will activly help in some of the ideas for shots etc.

Well i've used a few during the 365 - in some kind of order.....

Nikon D700
Olympus 1030SW (P&S)
Fuji F20 (P&S)
Fuji F31FD (P&S)
Canon 40D
Canon 50D
Olympus E-620
Olympus E-30
Panasonic TZ7
Panasonic LX-3

and now my curent weapon of choice is the Panasonic GF1 (with the TZ7 riding shotgun)

I think i've found the right combonation between portability and quality in the GF1 and 20mm 1.7 lens

As much as i loved all the DSLR's in different was (especially the D700), i was / am always fustrated by the size, hence my hankering after a good quality compact (LX3) and then for that little bit more quality and control over DOF (GF1 and 20mm 1.7)

I found that 40-60mm is 'my' ideal FL, so the 20mm fits perfect :D

Whatevery you do though don't go and try and GF1 / 20mm combo - its fatal :lol:

"Grab A Bargain At Avon!!"

Rebecca, Kerie, and my mum went to an Avon party tonight (Held by Sams'mum - Sam is Rebecca's best friend from School). They say they managed to get some bargains.

Another day, another tooth falls out!. Caitlin is at that age where teeth are falling out for fun (or so it seems). she had one fall out today, and another is ready to come out over the next few days.

I have to admit, with all the noise going about the forum about this little chap I'm tempted to have a look. Maybe I'd better take your advice and stay away :lol:
I'm off to focus this time around though, maybe thats a bad idea too!? :D
 
I can do D80 and Tamron 17-35.
That is actually a pretty nice combo, but lacks a little reach...
