Chillimonster's '365'

Nah, just a single bunk, but the bottom bunk is a double. was shot at 24mm (on the LX3) in the new 'HDR' mode that they put on with the new firmware. Its more of a tone curve adjustment, and locks the camera to jpg and ISO 400, but it seems to work well in the midtones :)

Perfect for 'sleepovers'

"Strop!!"

Caught this through the the gap in Rebecca's door after she'd been told off for having a 'strop' with her sister.

Well caught Chris, it's the "I can't believe them" look to her face.

Thanks JD

She spent a good 10 mins muttering to herself about how everybody hates her etc then she was back to normal

She had no idea that i even took the picture - the LX3 is silent ;)

Great capture Chris and that type of shot was really made for B&W too

Thanks Julian :)

You're right about the B&W - the colour one has zero impact, whereas the B&W portrays the 'moodiness' very well (IMO of course!)

I'll finally get a couple of hours in the morning to catch up on everyones 365 :clap::clap:

"Behind Bars!"

Caitlin decided she was going to watch the remainder of 'Finding Nemo' from the comfort of her top bunk.

All that's missing is a 'Please Do Not Feed The Animals Sign'!!

"YAWN!!"

Its a late one tonight, and everyone is asleep.

I was hoping for a bit of inspiration, but i had a call from my MD at 8pm to inform me that one of our engineers had been burgled, and they took his car and van keys, and proceeded to steel his personal car and the company van.

The worst of it is that he was in the kitchen, and his wife was upstairs bathing their baby when they walked in, grabbed the keys and left without him even realising

Oh well, busy day tomorrow, with insurance and sorting a replacement vehicle for said engineer :(

"Who Lives In A Pineapple under The Sea???"

Spongebob Squarepants has got to be Caitlins favourite ever show. As she had just been swimming and was enjoying a Hot Chocolate we allowed her to watch an episode before bed.

"Fridge Magnet!!"

Without fail, every day after school the first thing out of the girls' mouths is "Can i have......" It's usually a yoghurt, or something similar, but very occasionally they'll actually ask for fruit!

Hi Chris,

Just having a catch-up as you don't post this on E-System User now. Continues to be a great thread with some memorable images. Sure to become a valuable familly record in years to come. :)

Cheers,

John

"Obsession, For Girls!"

Rebecca, as with most girls of her age these days is obsessed with communicating with her friends in as many was as possible. Most of the time that means Facebook, or failing that text message / msn etc (dont worry i have lots of 'daddy snooping' software on there - with her blessing as she understands the need to be protected).

Most of the time, as soon as we get in from one of the many activities she does she's straigt upstairs to catch up on the lates gossip!

"Baby, I Was Born To Run!!"

Kerie got this shot of Rebecca after she had completed the annual fancy dress cross county run at school in aid of charity. It wasn't too muddy this year for which the washing machine can be thankful!

"When You Wish Upon A (Coin) Star!!"

Went to the local 'CoinStar' machine today to empy the loose change bottle. It ws just over 2/3 full and contained just over £113 al in. Should help with the girls spending money in a couple of weeks time when they head off to Turkey with their gran for the week.

Thanks Lisa.

Most of the recent ones are just 'snaps' as i'm just soooooooo busy with work an study at the moment its untrue.

Once the digital switchover is completed i'll be back in the swing of things (my company does a lot of work for housing associations and they've only just started to spend the money on the large systems that need upgraded - the fact that we told them about it years ago seems to hve escaped them :bang:)

"Flying The Flag!"

Caitlin was chosen to be a flag carrier for her Brownies at the divisional standards service today.

Nothing i could do about the telephone wires and no time to clone them out (but they will be cloned out in time for inclusion in the book! :) )

Just noticed - 3 colour pictures in a row - i think i need a lie down

:D

The Coin Star could have worked in B&W but I think the pics either side of this need to be in colour.

Better look out for a B&W opportunity tomorrow, Chris!

Thanks John ;)

The bottle kinda got lost in the B&W and i didn't want to run the risk of potential 'hassles' by using flash in store ;)

"Reflecting Me..."

Getting to grips with DOF again :)

I've neglected by DSLR for too long so i decided to charge the battery up and get shooting ;)

Thanks Julian - Much appreciated. I've not even had chance to play catch up on everyones 365 for a couple of weeks, but i have a week off next week, so will try and keep up inbetween bits of DIY :D

I'm always amazed by what you can do with a compact or even a phone camera, but stepping back up always brings a satisfying quality with it doesn't it

I'm kind of going the other way myself. I'm shooting film!! :D

Nice to see the SLR out again mate, the ease of use of a compact is great, but I still think a SLR produces better quality pictures.

Yeah, its good to be using it again, but compacts still have a place and are just so portable and flexible (especially the LX3)

"I Wanna Tell You A Story....."

Rebecca loves 'writing' stories. I used quotes in that way as very few people, Rebecca included' actually put pen to paper these days, which is a shame. At least the story will be in English rather than abbreviated 'TXT speak'!!!

"Are you sure its only a third???!!!"

You are supposed to spend a third of your life asleep. However my kids are that busy here and there, that the only time i really get to see them properly is when they are asleep.

Caitlin loves her sleep, and will quite happily go to bed early if she is feeling tired, but Rebecca will fight it and get stroppy with everyone, before she is forced to go up to bed. You'd think she would have learnt by now!
