"Phonics Goes Camping!!"

Phonics The Hedgehog managed to sneak into Caitlins luggage for her Brownie camping trip.

Each weekend one of Caitlins class gets to take Phonics home and they have to write in his diary to show the class what he gets up to. The tmeptation must have been too much for him when he heard about the activities planned for the weeked. Amongst the various activities are Archery and a pampering session where they have there nails done and have a foot massage!

"Poorly Sick!"

Caitlin had a fantastic time at camp this weekend, but came back with a bad chest and a sore throat - must have been all the fresh air and excercise :-)

Another crappy picture tonight i am afraid :-(

"It's Spreading!!"

After Caitlin not feeling too good yesterday, Rebecca has started to feel unwell and was in bed well before 8pm, which is really unusual for her!
 
Poor quality pictures all round from the last couple of days i'm afraid :(

Just been too busy with the NEBOSH (H&S) homework / studying and family stuff to be bothered with pictures, plus i got told on Friday that the MD might be selling the company :eek:, so my mind has been elsewhere :(
 
Mate we all get a bit too busy from time to time for this, but you're still putting thought into it and really they aint as bad as you make out ;)

"New Bedding"

While Caitlin was away at Brownie Camp at weekend we put the new bedding that we bought for her on the bed as a surprise. She was really pleased when she saw it, even though she was feeling a little under the weather.

Just got back from watching 'Cloudy, with a chance of meatballs' in 3D and thought that the glasses would make good 'props' for the girls ;-)

The glasses should be put in a recycling 'bin' on the way out but i 'forgot' :suspect:

Pity i didn't have matching hats though (give himself an idea :D)

"All In A Lather!"

Rebecca was competing in a team relay gala this afternoon, so while we were out Caitlin had a relax in the bath.

And as a bonus feature for today you even get a video of Rebecca in one of her events.

I took the Compact with me today as i find i'm getting more conscious of using the DSLR and big lens at these events following more "set-to's" with various parents - i'm beginning to wonder if it really is worth taking the 'big camera' to these events.
 
Rebecca is indeed a very 'strong' swimmer, but lacks some technique (we're working on that!), whereas Caitlin is technically brilliant, but needs to build up strength and speed - although she is already giving her big sister a run for her money due to the good technique ;)

It was the day of the school photo today and Caitlin spent most of the morning worrying about her hair and she got really annoyed when it was drizzling and breezy at break before her picture was taken!

"It's Been A Long Day!"

Rebecca has had a really long day today at school. Its been the 'open day' when potential pupils can come and see what a particular school is like before they commit their decisions to paper for the local schools 'lottery'!!

Rebecca was asked to help out in the cooking demonstrations, which she of course agreed to and she had a great time.

This was just a grab shot with the LX3 as i had it in my hand after just updating the firmware, and still had it set up from earlier so the resultant shot has the slightest amount of motion blur :bang:
 
I can tell from Caitlin's expression she is really used to Dad and the camera ;) Nice capture!

Both of them are natural born smilers (Mums side :lol:) and both can be moody buggers (Dads side :D)
