"Does This Mean Me??"

The girls have a habit of putting notices on their doors for each other.

Caitlin realised that she had spelling mistakes so was in the process of designing a new one in MS Word using fancy word art (without any help i might add!)

"Back In The Groove!"

Well the first week (3 days of it) of school is over and we'r back on the homework train.

As can be expected after a six-week break from the routine, the first week was a little bit of a struggle to get into, but once we got started Caitlin did really well.

She had Times Tables, Spellings (16 of), and then had to make 16 sentances up with each of the spelling words.

"Rear View Mirror!"

The Girls have been to the Guiding Event at Heaton Park today, Party In The Park, while i had the day to myself.

I spent the day sorting out my new (to me) iMac, and upgrading the hard drive and memory in it.

The built in camera comes in very handy to keep an eye on th kids so i know when they are trying to sneak up on me!

"Eyes Down!!"

Gran's up for tea again today, as she is every sunday, and the girls always like to have a game of Bingo with her.
 
You´ve built a little shrine at your chimney...I´m begrudged...especially cause it´s getting older and colder theses days. :D

"Its Stopped Raining!!!"

Just a quick snap tonight, of the girls on the steps in the back now that it's finally stopped raining!

I know the feet are chopped off (and it annoys the hell out of me), but the kids weren't playing ball tonight so it will have to do :bang:

"The Top & Bottom Of It!"

Rebecca had another visit to the Orthodontist today to have new retainers fitted. As the top one has worked so well she has had a new top and bottom retainer fitted that should mean she will not need to have any teeth removed.

Right i'm off to have a look through some of the other 365's before i get engrossed in something else (as is happening a lot recently!!)
 
Like the built in camera shot, cheeky capture ;)

Ooooo the Orthodontist shot reminds me of all my trips as a child. Rebecca looks very calm and relaxed, not strapped down is she? :D

She realises that it's either this or 4 teeth out (2 top, 2 bottom) so its the lesser of two evils :)

"Upon Reflection..."

The sun finally came out after a few days of grotty weather, so i got the girls out for a quick photo before Caitlin went off to Kirtens Dance Academy. Rebecca is a bit concious of her new retainers, so I told her i'd still manage to get a picture of her without showing them :)

"Sleepy Hello!"

Had a busy day today, and have just got back from seeing my brother and sister-in-law as its their wedding anniversary tomorrow. As soon as we got home the girls were straight to bed.

I seem to be going through a bit of a downward turn with the 365 at the moment, and i think the quality of the shots I'm producing reflect this. I just cannot seem to find the time, or come up with interesting ideas for shots. Perhaps i just need a good kick up the arse :D

"Keeping Her In The Dark!"

We spent a nice evening at the wedding of Jenni & Scot last night. Jenni is a Guide leader at the same guides as Kerie, and the same one that Rebecca attends on a Wednesday.

The wedding was held at Hazelwood Castle hall, and the setting is stunning.

Even though the girls were dog tired by the time it was over at 1am, they were still well behaved, and were asleep as soon as they were in the car for the journey home!

After last nights very late night it was an early night for the girls, redy for school tomorrow.
 
I'm still waiting to do that lens shot, don't know why I haven't tried it, I have the f/1.4...

"The Words Are Getting Smaller!!"

Since the last time i did a reading picture in this 365, the words in Caitlins reading books the words are getting much smaller and more complicated, but she's sticking with it!
 
Lovely shots Chris - they really suit B&W I might add, which you do particularly well. Wish I could get my conversions looking this good - more practice needed!

I hate taking pictures in colour now, even more so since i started using the LX3 as my carry everywhere camera. It just does B&W so well, with very little PP needed. True, its noisy above ISO400 ish, but i love the results it gives. The DSLR has a nice thick layer of dust on it at the moment (not kidding either!) :D

"Heavy Metal!!"

Here's Rebecca's old retainer that she's just had replaced with new top and bottoms. I know braces / retainers have come hell of a long way since there introduction, but I still don't think i'd like this in my mouth 24 hours a day, but give her her due, she stuck with it and its made a huge improvement to her teeth. Hopefully the new ones will continue the trend.

"Showers Are Expected..."

Caitlin LOVES being in the shower and would spend hours in there if we didn't drag her out after 20 mins or so. Rebecca on the other hand is a quick "In & Out" type of person and spends the minimum amount of time possible in there so that she can get back to whatever it was she was doing before she was so rudely interupted by the need to have a shower!
