"Flyaway Days"

Just got back from a lovely day in Southport. Parked up on the beach and the kids played for hours, with Rebecca mastering the art of stunt-kite flying.

Another one that's straight out of camera (hence the slightly strange crop as i could not see the screen as the camera was on the sand!)

Heres another bonus picture from today - no kids in this one though!

Reminds me of some kite shots I took a while back, lay on the ground looking up.
I fly a powerkite though, if you ever want to get rid of the kids... :D
 
Second one is excellent - love this kind of photos.

A lot of germans would claim that the first shot could have not been taken in england cause it´s always raining in england...and london is all foggy, every day of the year...so much for the prejuices :D

Now I´ll have a bratwurst and sauerkraut for dinner - as usual. :geek:

A young lad and his girlfriend had a power-kite a bit further down the beach. It took them 45 mins to untangle it and as soon as it went up it took him with him :lol:

His girlfrient had to hold on to him, so they gave up and put it away :D

"Cuddle For Dad!"

Just had a really nice cuddle of Caitlin before she went to bed, and as we've had a lazy day today and i've not taken a picture this was too good an opportunity to miss.

Caitlin is a very thoughtful daughter and is always 'thinking'. On Wednesday she said to me that she was really looking forward to going to Southport on Thursday, and that she had enjoyed every single day since she was born and I was the best dad in the world. I nearly started blubbing!

"Belt Up In The Back!!"

My mum is taking the girls to a party tonight. Emmie (my mums friend) is celebrating her 100th birthday!!!!

Hopefully when my girls reach a grand old age they will still have this book that i am having made of the 365 to remind them of their childhood :)


(Straight out of camera JPG on the LX3 again, set to dynamic B&W, just added a border and it was good to go!)

Very true about the DSLR, but i would have got arrested with that stuffed in my jeans pocket :eek: :lol:

"Bank Holiday Blues!"

Bit of a damp suib of a day today, when the weather couldn't really decide what it wanted to do.

The Girls went blackberry picking with my mum earlier, and while they were out, the heavens opened. By the time they got back they were drenched!

I'm back at work tomorrow after a nice two week break, so i'll be able to keep up with everyones 365 (in my lunch hours of course ;) )

"Back To School!"

The girls are both back to school tomorrow, so tonight uniforms were got out ready for morning.
 
They always look happy to be doing homework and extra curricular activities. I bet they are actually looking forward to being back, unlike 99.9% of kids in the country :D

They are looking forward to it. Caitlin has her favourite teacher this year, and Rebecca is no longer a 'newbie' and can help the new arrivals find their feet :)

"Happy Birthday!"

Caitlins 9th Birthday today (how time flys!), and she opened her presents before breakfast this morning.

She was really excited about going to school (first day back after the 6 weeks summer break) so she could see all her friends again.

Thanks - She seen all these 'strangers' wishing her a Happy Birthday and she's chuffed to bits :D

She might only be 9, but i'm sure she's going on 39 :lol:
