Chillimonster's '365'

I wanted to see it too but it was cloudy, got up at 2am and still cloudy then when i got up at 5:45am it was perfectly clear :bonk:

Nice shots esp for a p&s!

Thanks Lisa :)

It was the same here. When i got up at silly o'clock when the neighbour was going to work the sky was completely clear :bang:

As for the P&S - i really must go and use the DSLR (or at least blow the dust off it )

"The Face Aint Listnin'"

Rebecca's been a bit moody this week (must be her hormones ;) ), and a little bit grotty with her sister so this picture sums it up nicely!

"How Clean Is Your House?!?"

Todays picture is brought to you by my other half who took it while being helped with the housework.

Caitlin loves to help out with anything that is going on and loves getting stuck in. She even has the right gloves for the occasion!

"Dear Diary..."

We've had quite a pleasant day today, and have been to see 'Aliens In The Attic' at the local cinema (quite funny!), and Rebecca decided to include it in her diary entry for today

"....And Lead Us Not Into Temptation....."

First of all, i know i missed the focus on this one (DOH!!).

We attended the Mottram Show today, and had a wander around the stalls and watched some horses doing some courses. The girls loved it (i'm not a horsey type though!). One of the tents has a home made fudge stall, and the fudge was marvelous, we ended up trying the clotted cream, and rum & raisin flavours.

Catch up time -

Joined up handwriting? Like Jonny, a fews years back I realised I wrote everything IN BLOCK CAPITALS, so I forced myself to learn 'joined up' writing again. Took a while to make it legible!

Eggs & Coffee - great shots - really good angles. Mmmmm.....boiled eggs - can't wait til breakfast!

The hand - great shot! Similar to one I took of my lad a few weeks ago.

Touché. I now get drunk and annoy spiders and flies. And, it's all your fault. :p

And you're getting quite good at it too (the spiders and flies bit ;) )

"War Baby!"

We had a trip to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester today, and while we were busy looking at the exhibits i spotted Caitlin resting on one of the seating areas.

I dont think i could have got the composition better if I had asked her!

Once again the little LX3 came through for me ;)

Here's a couple more i liked from the day...

I've been shooting quiite a lot with the LX3 recently. I'm trying to keep my 'family time' as 'family time', and only going out with the E-30 specifically to get photographs i want. It seems to be working for me, and the family are not left hanging around waiting for me to take 'another picture!'

Here's an alternative (tighter) crop of todays picture - does it work better??

I think it makes it more intimate, which is the opposite of what gave it impact (for me) in the first place.

I know what you mean.

I like them both. Caitlin moved when she saw me and sat up, but just before she did i got this one...

This is just before she spotted me walking over towards her.

Its a pity about the seam on the wall - i may have to look at getting rid of that

Should be nice and easy with the clone tool.

Stunning shots Chris, as cyclone said it, portrait is great.
Seen shots of the Imperial War Museum in Manchester before, it looks like it was designed for toggers ;) Your first shot of it is super :)

Thanks Julian :)

As for the building, like you said it's very photogenic. Although i had to crop quite a lot from the bottom of the image as it was taken from the car-park and the cars spoilt the image.

That first one is fantastic!

Like the building ones too

Thanks Lisa :)

Love the first one Chris!!

I vote to leave the seam in the picture, it breaks up the negative space at the top.

I'll probably leave the seam in as i CBA to edit it at the moment

I was thinking of the vertical seam, next to Caitlin ;)

Now that you've mentioned that one its bugging the hell out of me :bang: ;)

Right, now I've got this Mac thing sorted, I can start catching up. :D

I think Rebecca is being very restrained around all those sweeties, I'd have been amongst them very quickly!

I love the War Baby shot, especially the tighter crop!

Thanks Marc :)

"Its All Downhill From Here!!"

We just had a fantastic day out at Gullivers World over in Warrington. Its the first time we've been in years, and the girls are at the age where they are a bit more adventurous in their choice of rides.

This is Rebecca and myself just about to reach the top of the Wild Mine Ride.
