"While The Cat's Away...."

Rebecca is away on Guide Camp this weekend so Cailtlin can go into her sisters bedroom without fear of trouble! :)

Good shot today.

Just noiced you jumped camera's again  I can't keep up. So now your an Olympus man and is'nt an E-30 a bit of a step down from the D700 (sorry don't know anything about Olympus cameras)?

Thanks Lisa / Julian :)

Yup it's a step down in the ISO stakes, but not necessarilly a step down in other areas (size / Weight / cost ). I was an Oly E-3 owner till i jumped to Nikon for the low noise as i was shooting a lot of swimming events, but not any more and the Olympus glass is second to none..

The E-30 and twin kit lenses (which are sharp wide open and cover 28-300mm) is smaller and weighs less than the D700 body, so it means i will have it with me more often.

Ever since i 'left' Olympus i kinda regretted it as i could not find glass i was truly happy with, even though some of the Nikon stuff comes close (and has a price to match), for edge sharpness.

But as long as it takes the pictures i want i'll be a happy bunny :D

"ParkLife!"

Had a nice morning in the local park today. Seemed really quiet without Rebecca, but that'll all change tomorrow night when she gets back home :)

Could not decide which of these two i preffered so you get both ;)

Agreed Marc, i think it does 'edge' it exactly for the reasons you say.

It's a shame really.....

Looking back at the shots from this morning, there's probably around 6-7 more that i'm now thinking of posting up as todays shot

Post them up, there's no rule that says there is a maximum, or if there is wecan just ignore it! :D

Pork Chops are cooking nicely so here are some of the others.. These won't make it into the book at the end of the year (i dont think so anyway), but i thought i'd share them anyway ;)

"Catchin' Up!"

Rebecca is back from Guide camp and she's had a great time. She looks like she's been dragged through a hedge backwards (and smells even worse!!), but the first things she did when she got in were:

1: Turn Sky on and watch Hannah Montana
2: Check out her iPhone
3: Log onto Facebook and catch up with her contacts

Love the lighting on today's one Chris very nice DoF too, MMMmmmmm DoF is the new B&W for me :)

Thanks Julian.

Totally candid today (until she heard the shutter go!). Surprisingly the shot was at F5.2, but the zoom helped with the DOF (230mm ish equiv)

Looks like you're starting to nail the B&W conversion process on the E620 now too Chris. Smashing capture is that!

"On The Road Again!"

It's Tuesday night, and that means it's swimming club night. Kerie arrived in from work at 6:15 and she was back out agin at 6:40. I do the second shift with Rebecca at 7:45 for the 8:00pm class.

Pity i didn't have the polariser on to get rid of the reflections.

"Family Meeting"

Kerie and myself have a two week break from work coming up in just over a weeks time, so we held a family meeting to discuss what activities the kids would like to do while we were off. It's really refreshing to hear some of the ideas. They want to go to parks and walks and to the sea-side (of course!). We are only too happy to oblige :)

Rebecca taking notes I see Chris... watch what you agree to re trips in your 2 weeks off, she's a shrewd one there, she's got it in writing... :)
