Rebecca is all packed up for her trip to Paris tomorrow. The trip is as a 'reward' for good behaviour and attendance during her first year at senior school.

"Parklife"

Had a walk to Stalybridge Splash today - and it was exciting as ever! (inser sarcasm smily here!).

So we went for a walk in the local park instead :)
 
Bought a D700 - Got offered a D3 at a steal - so selling D700 (again!!)

At this rate i'll probably just buy an old boots 110 minigrip and have done with it :lol:

Would love to, but already risking life and limb with the D3 - especially when she starts talking about booking holidays :eek:

"Come On Feel The Noise!"

More experimental processing tonight, playing with noise.

More of a practice for one of my upcoming 'theme weeks'. So far i've come up with WAK (Wide-Angle-Kids), Macro Kids, Post Processed Kids. If there are any other ideas of themed weeks, i'm all ears!

The Multi Kids will have to wait for when i'm off work so that i get more time for the PP'ing though ;)
 
Interesting shot, I've just been looking at bank notes with the macro lens, and those eyes look similar to the queens.

"Bed Head!"

I think the last few days have really caught up with Rebecca. She's been tired and moody with her sister.

A good nights rest should cure that. The last thing we want is a moody daughter on her 12th birthday!

"Gonna Party Like Its My Birthday!"

Rebecca is twelve today, and she made a cake at Grans' house that consisted of twelve decorated home-made chocolate buns, with a candle in each.

"Best Of Friends"

We were at a family party last night and it was held at a cricket club. It was a little hot so we went for a walk around the green, and i got this 'snap' of the girls together.

Occasionally the girls just dont 'get on' with each other, other times they do get on with each other, and times like last night they're best friends!

Kerie took Rebecca to Manchester on the train today to spend her birthday money (and then some!)

Got the D3, but also using a 50D that i've got on loan from my brother as i still have some canon glass (17-50 / 90mm Macro etc)

The D3 is an awesome tool, but not what i'd take to the park for 'snaps' :lol:

And as for the money..... of course it was :lol:

"Finger Lickin' Good!"

As a treat we went to Hollywood Bowl and then on to Frankie and Benny's today.

The girls both had BBQ ribs, and loved 'em (as they do with anything that used to have a pulse - they'd be hopeless vegetarians :lol:)
 
and the nice thing about eating out (with finger food), is it's not your mess to clear up afterwards ;)
