"Read With Mother"

We (mainly Kerie) read with Caitlin every day. When Rebecca was at school they used the Oxford Reading Tree collection of books (Biff, Chip, Kipper, Wilma etc ) and they worked superbly well. However, new teachers etc and they no longer use them which is a shame as i don't feel the the children get the same quality of teaching in reading anymore :(

looks like a nice sneakly took shot.

i use to read biff, chip and kipper books lol

Catching up again more nice shots could I have a rice crispie cake please? Really like the Half'N'Half shot good idea well exectued

Thanks Marc. I finally feel like i am getting to grips with the D700 :) (but i do so miss the Olympus Glass - so much so that i'm pining after an E-3 again )

Ok Chris, I'll buy an E-3 and swap you the d700, deal??

Some really nice shots over the last couple of days, even though some are probably quick snap shots, its nice to see a nice family life!!

Nah, I'm greedy - i'd want both (or ideally the D700 ISO performance and the ZD glass - a match made in heaven ;) )

Teasing with the rice crispie cakes again I see  another nice shot there Chris

Sean

Only one piece left now.... it's Seans fault for mentioning it - i've just had to go downstairs to get one :D

Mmm Chocolate Biscuits in the 52s and now Rice Crispie cakes in your 365, you lot are really bad for my diet.

Chilli, some fab shots since I last checked in I really like the 2 in 1 shot

P.S. According to the other half (a primary teacher) the teacher probably changed the books as parents were buying them and then "helping" to teach the small ones to read. However, what was actually happening was the kids were learning them by heart and not actually reading.

"Control Freak!"

Kids have got it made these days. The only remote control my parents had was me. "Chris - put BBC1 on, Chris - Turn the volume up!", and we had to be content with 3 channels that went off before midnight.

My two girls have DVDs, Xbox (media Centre), Sky+, Ipods..... the list goes on, and all of it controlled by remotes.

How freaky is that?? I was going to do a remote sort of shot tonight, but I'm too tired.

Its another one of those nights when time is tight, and I'm only in for a short while so been raking my brains and while i was sat there i was watching Rebecca flick through station after station.....

Just catching up Chris, glad to see you've maintained you're usual high standards
That half and half shot is fantastic - they are so alike. I bet they loved that shot?

Thanks Dave :)

The girls are still enjoying the project. Caitlin asks every day "What's todays picture dad??"

The day they start to resent the project is the day i stop as it defeats the whole purpose of it.

Agree with Marc another nice shot liking the DOF what lens where you using?

Sean

"The Mask!"

Caitlin has 'Art & Craft Class' after school on a Wednesday. Today they made these funky masks :)

Pity i missed the focus on the eyes by a smidge though.

One of my mates is soon to be 21.
I asked him if he remembers having to get up to change channel. The blank look on his face was priceless!
Is it that hard to believe we used to get up to change channel?

"Simple Portrait"

Not much time (again) tonight, so just a quick, simple portrait tonight. Tried to go for a slightly lighter B&W conversion today and played about with the tone curve.

Dunno if it works
