"Twenty Times Up, Twenty Times Down"

She could have really hurt it ! :P
Someone said that about mine, and it still gives me problems to this day, 7-years later!

I know - we had her to the docs to have it checked out, but I'm sure its exaggerated - a little ;)

"Kiss before bedtime"

Arrived back from the gym just in time to give Caitlin a goodnight kiss :)

On another note, i need a haircut and shave :suspect:

Just having a catch up :) The past few photos have been great...some good intimate family moments well caught!

Day 49 is cracking love the soft focus on the mirror frame and the sharpness of the reflected image very nice indeed well done mate

Sean

Thanks Sean, it's just the effect i was after. Its one of the few times the end result was the same as i saw it in my minds eye

Just catching up again.
Dad needs to stand a bit closer to the shaving machine!

Had a day out in Accrington today. Its a place that my Mum and Dad used to go quite regular for a wander around, before my dad passed away in 2004.

My mum was happy that it had not changed much and that their favourite cafe was still open for business (and boy was it busy!)

"Milkshake Mustache!"

Just catching up on this Chris. Cracking*stuff :)

Just a couple of observations. Daddies sauce? Fair emergency substitution, but Chop sauce wins.
iMac = :thumbs:
Haircut and a shave? I'd just have the shave mate :D

Cheers Marcel,

Chop sauce is nice, but the kids prefer Daddies / HP :)

The iMac has gone back - i will rejoin the 'fruity' side when the new models get released.

If i don't cut my hair i end up with an island in the middle of my head, so it helps to keep it short (number 2) :D

Hi Chris, just had a catch up. When you started I did wonder if you would be able to do 365 of family life without becomming repetetive. It's obvious by now that you have enough imagination and a talent for observing those easily missed little incidents from everyday life to ensure that doesn't happen. Cracking stuff! Recent ones I particularly like are #45 Bolt From The Blue, #47 Just Chillin and #48 MEDIC. With your penchant for available light shots in semi darkness I can appreciate why you traded the E3 for the D700. Glad it's working out so well for you. :)

Cheers,

John

Thanks John, really appreciate your positive comments :)

The D700 is letting me get shots i would have otherwise struggled with, so i am happy with that. I do miss the awesome ZD glass though. Maybe one day i'll be back when the E3 successor is out and has much better low light capabilities (not just the noise, but the ability to focus in near complete darkness)

"Double Trouble"

It's been one of those days when the kids just 'get on' with each other, so i took advantage and got a picture of them together.

Pity i only had the 50mm on the D700 and not the 17-35mm. This would have allowed me to get the elbos in frame as well.

Thanks Marc.

I'm planning to have them put into a book. I'll give my mum a copy of it, put a copy of it in each of the girls' memory boxes and i'll have a copy.

Gonna be quite a book i would think :)

Going to be something the whole family can really treasure. It's quite obvious to me, and everyone else here I would imagine, that you are a great dad!

Thanks Marc.

I really love them both, but they drive me nuts at times, and can cause me know end of grief (along with migraines, pains from 'open wallet surgery' etc )

Wouldn't change it for the world "D

Thanks del, I know, but what can you do. If i would have asked them to pose for the picture it loses the impact

just catching up - great shots from the last few days, especially 40, Sleeping Beauty and the Hoodie. The one of your little girl and her friend is gorgeous. Your kids are so lucky to have someone who can take such lovely shots of them!

I like that one Chris, but, is it just me or does your across the road neighbour seriously need his driveway done?? It looks like it has slopes and angles everywhere!!

Yup, surely does need doing, but he's always out working so never has the time to do anything about it :(

Really like the last 2 days Chris Double Trouble is a lovely shot :)
