Chillimonster's '365'

 Did anyone tell you they get more expensive as they get older? :D
I'm an only child at 24, and dad just walked in and gave me £20 without me even asking. He's learnt its easier!

the problem is when you keep your hand out coughing occasionally!!

enjoying your 365 chilli, seems to be going well and you have gorgeous kids

Aha we know your secret now thats how you get them to pose for these great shots ;)

The Windows to the Soul

I love eyes, they can say so much more about a person than word could ever do. You can instantly tell if someone is happy, sad, angry, or excited.

Rebecca had been out on a school 'trip' to the local 'Hollywood Bowl' this afternoon with school, and when i collected her I instantly knew that there was something the didn't quite go acording to 'plan' from the look in her eyes. It turned out that one of her friends fell out with her because they were both wearing the same tops! She refused to admit there was something wrong until i told her i could see it in her eyes.

A quick cuddle off her dad and all was well again :)

I will probably revisit the eye-theme later in the 365 for some macro-ish type shots.

That's cracking Chilli. But you just pinched my idea for tomorrow!

Thanks Marc, Not as sharp as i would have liked, but hey it gives me an excuse to 're-visit' the subject again to get it right ;)

As for pinching your ideas, have you not noticed that you list of ideas has vanished :suspect:

ooo i like that idea especially with the story that goes with it

thanks liss. The picture came after the story tonight following me collecting Rebecca as I had a totally different shot lined up for today.

really nice shot. Reminds me of the Madonna 'Who's that Girl' tour in the 80's where she had her eyes emblazoned across everything.

Thanks kitten :)

I remember that tour. I saw her at Wembly in the 80's :)

"Sweet Dreams" are made of this.

My girls are both dog-tired tonight, and did not want to play ball with some of the ideas i had, so i shot some 'test' pictures for ideas for better days and they got themselve ready for bed.

They've had a busy old week with all the clubs and calsses back in full swing (and paid for ), and i think it's taken its toll on them both. Rebecca spent three hours on her homework tonight, and Caitlin had her Gymnastics class earlier.

I love watching them sleep, they are just so peaceful, instead of their usual hyper-selves. I often lie on the bed with one or the other of them having a natter with them as they are getting ready to fall asleep. I say natter, but if i'm lying with Caitlin i just have to lie there and listen as she 'chunners' on, and on, and on (a bit like me with todays entry )

On a side note, i must say how impressed i am with the D700 and 50mm F1.4 combo in available light - it's just 'magic'.

Hi Chris,

Glad to see the project is firmly underway. Thought I'd better start to follow it hear as a few narrow minded folk made it untenable on a certain other forum! It's a solid start but an awesome challenge still lays ahead (posting a picture every day is a big ask) and I wish you luck.

Cheers,

John

Thanks Sean, the DOF, or lack of, on the 50mm 1.4 is really fun to work with :)

Thanks for the comments and support John, really appreciate them.

Yeah, its a pity about the other site, but after getting stick on two different occasions i decided enough was enough and logged out. I've only been back once this week to answer a couple of PM's that i received, and have decided to give it a bit of a wide birth for a while.

You missing me??

"In The Absence Of Light........"

This is one of shots where it just jumps out at you, and was only caught as i ALWAYS have a camera about my person (in this case my trusty Olympus 1030SW).

The sun was bright and low this morning when we were out shopping and directly behind us at this point and the shadows just came to life. So, camera out, shot taken, job done :)

The kids naturally posed - as always (especially Caitlin on the right!)

 You missed a trick there, could have done a "Charlie's Angels" pose!

I thought about it when i was taking the shot, but didn't want to get it wrong, so i'll save that for when i revisit the idea later in the 365 :)

Its like land of the giants, nice shot well captured Chilli

I'm sure a lot of us are - but following some of the comments you attracted I can understand why you're taking a break. I'm really pleased with the FL50R BTW.:)

"What a Racquet!"

Our local council run sports hall has "Family Badminton" on a sunday morning where adults pay £1.50 and kids are free. We normall go swimming on a sunday morning for an hour so we thought we'd also try the badminton first.

It's the first time the kids have played Badminton, but they loved it - even if they could not hit the shuttlecock!
