Given all the recent threads about togs, photographing children and getting into trouble or thinking about it etc.

Should pro togs have to have children protection training and CRB checks to work with children??

The way things are Going Ruthie I think that its going to be mandatory before too long if even just for "our" own safety
The crazy thing is I have "access all areas" at a chain of nursery schools that I work in, on a semi-regular basis
no one has even suggested "CRB" but I guess that will only be a matter of time now

I serve alcohol to people legally allowed to drink it. and as i work in a licenced establishment, technically, i have received child protection training. and anybody that works with children goes through child protection training. so i think that yeah, people who work, where there are laws in place to protect children, should be trained in those laws, and any legislation surrounding it.

personally i agree, the training is probably more helpful than the CRB tbh

at the end of the day, a CRB only shows up convictions and the like. whereas some dodgy characters go undetected for years.

there's no age limit on child abuse, children can abuse children i have seen a couple of cases. 10year old touches 5yr old brothers genitals and social services go crazy.
