Nice chucky eggses![]()
Thanks Oy
Nice chucky eggses![]()
“A box without hinges, key, or lid, Yet golden treasure inside is hid.”
Great interpretation on the theme Duncan!
Thank you for the comment David ... the riddle reference is in JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit, Chapter 5 ... Riddles in the Dark.I am not that well read, so missed the reference.
Nice image though.
Thanks Bill for the commentsEggcellent....
Great take on the theme Duncan
Great ... Were you correct?
That got me thinking but I didn't get it either. Big tick for thinking outside the "box"
Well 'My precious' can only make me think of..... Lord of the Rings?? But I cannot think of the egg connection.

Thanks Bee,Very nice. I've just been playing with ice and was similarly trying to give it a blue tint. It works.
I love that your frozen CO2 appears to have been dropped from outer space like a meteor![]()
Thanks for the comment AlanNice !
Thanks PeterThe blue tint works well. It looks very frozen.
Cheers BillNice shot Duncan, I like the blue tones, they work well with the ice.
Thanks HelenThe colouring works well and the image is almost abstract. Nice one.
I like it. It looks very alien / horror movie
It's easily the best picture of a piece of frozen co2 at -80c I've seen posted here this week and possibly ever
Very original and very interesting. Well done Duncan![]()
Thank you SimonI like this. Great composition Duncan!
Thanks OySuper shot of Pointy Pencils Duncan!
Thank you PeterNice one Duncan, maybe more or less coloured pointy things
Thanks PeteReally good idea and perfect lighting.

They're all good pictures but the last is my pick. Well done on the wildlife garden and the pictures![]()
Thanks Simon ... I'm slowly turning all my "garden" into a haven for both wildlife and me (plus the missus of course)agree Duncan - as well as being good for nature, very calming to have grasses in the garden. Unfortunately my wife doesn't agree!
Nice shots
Thanks Bill ... I'm lucky to have my wife onside as we develop the "garden" ... long way to go yet but we're getting there ... wherever "there" isI love grasses Duncan, I wish I had the space to grow a decent patch. I like your chosen image.
Parallel - A very different twist on the theme, with a couple of different variations on the concept.
Metal - Nicely composed and processed with complementary lighting.
Treasure - I must admit to not getting the connection until reading other comments.
Solid - It does have a look of being dropped from the sky, the processing suits it.
Beginning with a P - I would have considered distributing the pencils with the solid colouring through the image. My eye goes to the pinkish one at the top.
Snappers Choice - Well done on the wildlife garden, there does seem to be more people trying to help nature. I do like the lighting on the last one.
I love watching the wind moving through long grass. I like your chosen shot best.
Pencils are perfect for the P theme. Well captured and posed/placed.
Loving the Grass shot Duncan, the black behind it makes it stand out and the sun on the seeds works so very well.
Great picture it reminds me of the movie scene from Gladiator.
There's something about sharpened pencils that takes me right back to my childhood. A nicely composed shot.
I love your grasses - you've really captured their softness and movement.
