Chester Zoo meet - Saturday 30th September

Set fire to the nest, just make sure you don't burn the house down.

Its funny how these things wander off topic isn't it ;)

Probably a good idea I have the "who's coming" list in the first post :p

Definately.

Well volunteered to keep that list

2 passes left, if you haven't pm'd me and I haven't replied to you to tell you that you have a pass you won't automatically get one - if you're not sure if you've got your name down or not send me a quick pm and I'll let you know. I'll post up the list of people once all 10 are gone and then if anyone drops out the quickest person to notice they were down for a pass can have theirs - hows that sound for fair? :p

Marcel......if you step foot on my drive while singing "save your love my darling" again, i'm going to have you shot!!!

We could do a duet Marcel, surely he can't shoot us both, unless of course he has a shotgun.

Merseyrail do a special pass for £16 that includes travel to & from Chester, (train & bus from the station to the Zoo) & entry (saves quite a bit) Just in case anyone isn't in time to take advantage of Darksabers kind offer (not the duet, I meant the tickets LoL).

hah, I can actually sing :p

I serenaded sue at the wedding reception, everyone cried, so what does that tell you? :p

I'll add that information to the main post mike.

£10.40 - national express coach from Bradford, bargain. Anyone else not at work tomorrow and fancy it?

i'm in manchester tomorrow and then daventry on wednesday and thursday, so i'm afraid I won't be in town.

Anyone who is getting a voucher from me for half price entry gets to come in the members entrance with me and Sue, oo-er.

Oooh excellent. Do we get free mints and a brush down by a butler?

Your money will be taken by a female zoo employee more than likely - dont seem to have many blokes working the ticket boxes. They don't seem to have any ladies selling helium balloons either.

Now I should really go to this meet, especially as I live only 5 minutes away from the zoo... but I'm sure I've got something on that weekend....... :(

Mike

Hope you can make it Mike :)

I have a question. Both my husband and I are interested in coming but if we do it means we would have to bring the kid.... As we only have one camera it shouldn't be to difficult as one person is snapping the other is running ragged. But do you guys have a problem with a 2 1/2 year old coming along??

Renee

Well we've got Marcel coming....

Isn't that the same thing? :p

No problem whatsoever from me :)

Shouldn't be a problem. I think my wife and kids are coming too, but they will more than likely be off wandering around the zoo themselves.

more likely or hopefully? :P

I think we need to go to the batcave, even though its hard to take photos in there, its something we need to do as a group ;)

I'm getting more tempted to come now, but need to work out whether i can really afford to drive the 100+ miles to get there, and then get in, then get back!

Only because you need someones hand to hold you big girlie :p

Matt. whereabouts are you? Maybe you can carshare with someone? And split the cost between you.

I love the Twilight Zone bat cave, it makes sue grab on to me real tight :p

1st time we went in there was the best, you could feel the air pockets moving past you as they flew past your head, lovely little critters.

I gave my little sister a scare the other day when we were there - I told her she had to keep her mouth closed as they were fruit bats and she'd just been eating a strawberry slush :p

Very imaginative (& cruel) .
I got slapped around the head by a massive fruit bat in that cave & to add insult to injury, no one believed me  "bats don't get close enough to hit you, bats use sonar so theres no chance one of them would have hit you" Yeah right!! (hurt too) so you can expect to see me as a small, huddled up, fast moving shape as I beat a hasty retreat whilst covering my head.
I really do like bats though, just not when they're picking on me LoL

Brains.......it's not up to anyone else if you can go m8, if you want to go then go. The guys will make you feel welcome and before long you'll think you've been with the site for years.

I was a newbie and I went to Twycross Zoo with this lot last Saturday - I've only been using the site a few weeks, now they all feel like I've been here too long ;)
