OK, the next thing I am looking to buy is a small GoPro type camera that I can attach to my chest harness and use to record what I see as I walk about. I use a Sun and Sniper Rotaball harness which has a couple of front straps with split rings for exactly this purpose. The camera needs to record audio and video and have a built in microphone. All suggestions welcome. TIA.

What's your budget? There's a million different cameras that you could class as a go pro type, at the top of the price range are the genuine go pros, but some of the Chinese copies like the Sjcam aren't bad for the money.

I have a vic tsing one I bought from amazon last year ,wi.fi ,Bluetooth etc and used it a lot in Greece both above and under water ,the I.q of both the video and audio easily equalled my lads go pro that he was using at the same time .came with a full kit of stuff to at sub £50 at the time

My budget is limited - sub £150. I may be able to use my TZ100 for this task (arriving tomorrow) but the key thing is how it mounts - I have 2 straps coming down from the harness so need something with a mount/strap point on either side of the camera......

Can you post a link please? Thanks.

The Olfi One.Five is pretty good IMO, and in budget.

Not sure if it will help, but I tested the GoPro5 against the Sony X3000r and Olfi about six months ago (was interested in stabilised footage).

Here's a little footage, the Olfi has stabilised footage at the end. No sound I'm afraid, it's an unlisted video I chucked together when I was trying to decide what was best for me.
Anyway, thought it might be of some use.

EDIT - I should add all the footage was shot 1080p 60fps. It was up-sampled in Prem Pro for YouTube, just to get the higher bitrate. No native 4k footage.

The Olfi looks good but I can't see any mounting points on it for me to clip it to my harness straps. Am I missing something?

Please ignore the shoddy photo, but this is what I use:

It's a cheap Capture clone with a small ballhead attached, that attaches to the strap on my backpack. I've found in the past using the standard mounts a little restrictive, as they often lack much angle adjustment.

The little ballhead makes it easy to frame a shot.

Git!

No, I'm not being abusive, it's a brand of Action Camera. I got mine (a Git One) through Amazon and it was good and cheap. Came with a waterproof housing (it was the "Pro" option IIRC) which gives it the standard GoPro type of mount.

How about a used GoPro, there are some decent deals on the 4 and previous models and all more than capable for what you need.
