checking out an Epson 2880

I will have the chance to buy a used Epson 2880 at a decent price tonight. I will try and run through a print or two but is there anything else I should be checking out?

In the utilities menu do a head alignment check. This should cause the printer to use ALL the colours and print a small pattern You can tel then if they are all "firing".

A good test print is also a good idea as you have suggested

Thanks John. A head alignment check makes sense first rather than wait an age for a test print to run through
