What a pain in the arse. It seems like there's an extremely shadey operation called Shopper Discounts who are adding a monthly service to your credit card bill when you shop at various websites (including Interflora and Vistaprint)

You could be paying £8 a month for ages and not realise, check your statements!

That's dead easy to fix, you have a guarantee with Visa and Mastercard -- if you didn't explicitly sign up to it, ring your card company and ask for a chargeback against all those transactions.

If you used a debit card then it's not quite so painless and you'll have to go through the fraudulent transaction claims process with your bank which *usually* requires more paperwork.

Nah, what I meant is the card issuer will handle the hassle. If you didn't sign on the dotted line or it was hidden behind 'unreasonable' terms and conditions (ie: too long to possibly read, or you were pushed into signing by a sales droid) then a chargeback is easy.

I ordered from Interflora last month. It's not been a month yet, but I'm keeping a close eye on my credit card statements.

It seems it's not just interflora, it's EasyJet and a whole host of other online retailers.
They have partnered with this 'Shopdisc.co.uk', and people are being caught out by being offered £10 off their next order, which signs them up to this 'service.

i have used vistaprint 2wice now and not had any wierd charges like that - but will check again!

I got caught as well with an order from Purely Gadgets but had the £10 discount up front so gained £2 as i stopped it in the first month.

Stop getting vendors to sneakily sign their customers up to your 'service' then.

I quote a poster at MoneySavingExpert (where there is a huge thread on your fraud-like business model)

It is at best absolutely disingenuous, and at worst is pure theft.

I wonder how you 'came across' this forum? Searching for your brand name perhaps? Why would you do that? Because you know that there is a big backlash amongst the internet shopping community, that's why.

Nice to see you haven't even bothered to type a fresh reply for this site. It's a copy and paste of the PM's you've been sending people over at MSE too.

Thanks for heads up indeed! I have used VistaPrint twice now, well be keeping an eye on things :)
