Well spotted, but I'm still on my old paper one, so I've got just under 30 years before I need to renew.
 
just dug mine out and its the first tme I have seen myself with hair for a long time ...2011 mine runs out
 
December next year for me, suprised they done write to tell you or anything!
 
That reminds me, I need to send off for mine in the next few months, to get my Bike test pass added to my license. Since you get 2 years from when you passed to get it added!

So you have the get the photo ones renewed more often? No doubt at more cost to us? :(
 
10 years , of course there's a fee:rules:
 
Good post, because obviously it's not classed as Valid ID either after expiration (if needed for bank, phone contract etc etc)
 
Mine was issued 06-06-77 runs out 30-11-17 :D

If opened it has to be unfolded very very carefully :D
