sorry I should say I have a sony alpha 200 with the standard 17-80

You may have to be a little more specific with your question...

I just mean a good shop or online site I could buy a lens off of

I usually go to Wilkinson Cameras if I can (that is, they have the item in stock and for the right price). Fortunately for me they have a couple of local stores in Lancaster & Preston, so I can give them a call, go down with my camera and have a play with them right there and then if I need to (they even let me go outside to try some natural light shots).

Cheers for that link, decent looking sigma for £130 I might need to invest in

Don't think you can beat Warehouse express for price and stock availability

There's always Calumet too, I forgot about them. They also sell on eBay as well as their regular store & website.

Another vote for Warehouse Express here. Whether they're the cheapest or not.... well, they were more expensive than Wilkinson's for me on the D300s+Grip, but it's like anything else electronic or computery these days.

Shop around, don't feel you have to stick to the same place every time, especially if you're only dealing with websites and not face-to-face with a real person. Look at the reviews store have received from past customers (there's plenty of review sites online), and compare prices & special deals (the special deal with the grip was the only reason Wilkinson's worked out cheaper for me).

What's the story with Onestop and warranties? I'm always dubious about buying lenses from HK in case I have issues with them and can't get them fixed... but the £300 saving over WHX is tempting!
