I seem to have gone very mad recently buying a full set of Full Frame kit in a short period of time starting with 24-70mm, then the 70-200VRmm and SB900 at Focus and now a D700 + Grip. I think I'll be on value beans on value toast for the rest of the year. Does anyone know where the best source of value baked beans is; preferably one that sells in bulk for a discount

hahahaha dont stand next to me and try aldi they do em for pennies BUT DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE EDIBLE but asda own brand are good with the sausages

Dried lentils are cheap & quicker to cook than other beany things. If you have to go more fully into survival mode, you can soak and then sprout them, for added vitamins.

If the **** really hits the fan, I'll swap one of your lenses for a half kilo bag.

just remember the quality of what you put into your mouth dictates the quality of what comes out the other end...

I sure hope you don't smoke!

The Chinese make them last ages. Phoooooeeeee!

Have a surprise for tea - go to the supermarket and buy reduced eat today stuff. Wonder what you'll come out with?

These look highly nutritious . . .

Egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are common, everyday food in some countries in Southeast asia. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, balut are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available.

That's what you get for shopping in Lidl ;)

You could be the official reviewer for bulk bought baked beans. And the snaps you'd take would look nice too :D

Don't worry M8 I'm on bread and water after the amount I've spent on photographic gear over the last few months!

If you get a job at my tomato greenhouse workplace, you can help yourself to as many tomatoes as you like.
I'd take advantage of it myself . . . only I absolutely detest tomatoes. Plop one in my mouth and I'd retch it back up again. :gag:

Cheers for the suggestions peeps, I don't think I'll be too popular on the meets if all I eat for the next year is Lentils and Beans  I think some bread and water (al la KoG) will make for a more varied diet!

I like the idea of the tomato greenhouse but I suspect that the trip to Folkstone won't be that good.
