whats the cheapest.. presume oldest? "full frame" canon dslr i could gte my hands on... no other spec matters..

ta:)

Used would be 5D MkI

New would be 5D MkII.

5D AFAIK

edit - beat to the punch :D

Condition would also play a large factor.

Looks like I stand corrected....

5D Mki (? actuations) at £599 and 1Ds (73k actuations) at £649 at MPB at the moment. Probably get £100-150 lower on either the forum or ebay but you wont get any warranty with those.

1ds prices vary wildly.

I bought one for £399 at a camera shop near where I live with 18k actuations

And I bought one on the forums this week for £300 with 89k actuations.

Sadly I have been looking at what i can get for my 5D classic on ebay and the most i can hope for would be about £5/600 which leaves quite a shortfall for the 5d mark 2 I want so I reckon 5 D classic on ebay would be your best bet :)

If you are going to get wound up and tell people they are wrong it'll probably a good idea to make sure you are right first ;)

Its a simple mistake! Lol.

its to use on a remote behind a goal..full frame would mean i dont have to buy wider lens than I have :)

i wouldnt want to stick a borrowed camera onto a mini tripod behind a goal where it could get damaged...THANKS :) .. hence why looking for cheap..

1ds 300 quid-ish sounds good :)

Actually that's a really good idea, 1ds with a manually focused Pentax 17mm M42 lens = ultra cheap remote goal line wide angle!!

Would the fps not limit use of this camera?

Lots of rumours of a 5DIII equiv this month, which would probably knock down prices on the original a bit more, plus, when this and the 1dX start to ship you would expect a flurry of activity in the used markets which might lower prices or allow you to grab a bargain. If you can wait a bit, you might be quids in. Just a thought.

offset one thing for another.. the keeper rate of a behind the goals camera is stupidly low anyway and a lot of luck involved.. so its a matter of it firing off what it can and hoping for the best..
