cheap Variable ND filters any opinions?

Hi All I am looking to aquire my first ND filter and came across this budget variable http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251202011356?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I just wondered if anyone had used these and are they any good?

I've tried two cheap VNDs, they were both pretty useless. Any VND will cause problems at wide angles and these two were also dire with my 100-400.
