Yes
I'm playing about with the idea of a little point and shoot for my young boy. Ideally not looking to pay much but want it to shoot in raw.

Any suggestions not too worried if its a old camera

Yes there is one in classifieds for £100. Reasonable price.

We've a Panasonic lummix point and shoot which our daughter used and got good results with it.

Another option might be an older DSLR ? Our daughter used my old 300D a few years ago and loved it ...

Depending on the budget may be a fuji xf1.

To the best of my knowledge no Panasonic Lumix shoots in RAW.

Fair point re the LX range. When thinking of small compact cameras i think of the TZ range not the LX as I don't consider this a "small point and shoot". But i accept the point you are making.

Have you looked at the Fuji compacts?

The770exr and 900exr both do raw, the exr mode is very good but they have pasm also

You can pick them up refurbished from Fuji with a warranty for about £100/140 or maybe £40 more new

Was in same position for my daughter who is interested and i wanted raw in camera to show her more pp options- ended up with a 770 and it appears great value in a pocketable size

I would suggest the Olympus Tough TG 860. Shoots RAW. Also, being a tough camera you won't have a heart attack should he drop it. Tough isn't just for adventurists. Great for kids with sticky or slippery hands, too. Best regards.

Panasonic TZ60 and TZ70 shoot in RAW and give good results.
