Cheap Ink

I've just had a look and yeah they are cheap! So far I've only used genuine epson ink and I'am not sure whether or not to try compatable cartridges. Will I get the same quality, will they even work:thinking:

i doubt we'd get the same quality as original cartridges, might be worth a try at that price.
I'll let you know when i get some ordered and have tried them.

From my pals' experiences with cheaper inks I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

2 I know had serious problems with their A3 Epson printers, another had to replace his Canon A3 head too

For my printer, the usual shops sell each cartridge for about £10, but I get genuine Canon ones for less than £6 from Inkraider

My view then - if you're spending potentially thousands on your gear, why try to skimp and risk problems for the sake of a few quids worth of ink? And there's a sound argument for not buying a printer at all with some of the online photo places now being so cheap

fwiw I've never used anything but 'cheap' inks in my Epsons and have never had any problems with them.

Checking these ^ guys prices on inks for my R200, inkemporium are quite a bit cheaper still.
