Cheap Gitzos

Procentre have some ex-demo Gitzos going for Manfrotto prices. Mostly the very lightweight travel models, so probably too light for serious telephoto use, but potentially interesting to someone to whom portability is important and who doesn't use anything over 100mm to maybe 200mm with some compromises (11 series) or 200mm to maybe 300mm with some compromises (12 & 22 series) Most of them are the older type with the funky twist locks that drive some people nuts, rather than the modern anti-twist versions.

Alas, not all of the stuff mentioned is still there. I rang first thing this morning after the Explorer 2258 listed on their site, but it'd gone. It sounded like they have some of the lighter ones left though. Looks like I have to keep saving up if I want one. Still the new models (pdf!) are out next month and that may result in some bargains.
