I just bought a very nicely made Giottos MTL9351 tripod, I think it's been reviewed in the relevant forum on here.
I was looking to beat the VAT rise:rules: & was surprised to find Jessops had the best price, I paid £65 with free 2 day delivery, using a 5% discount voucher.
I had a quick play with it today & it can support my 40d & 70-200 with the arm at full extent @ 90 deg to the legs
