I got a compact digi for my wife a couple of years ago, and it cost me about £30 (if that) from tesco. IF all it's for is for nights out etc you don't want to go overboard on a camera with all the bells and whistles that's going to end up at the bottom of a pint

thats what i was thinking chris and if had everything on it she wouldnt know how to use it anyway
