Argos are doing a camo tent for £29.99p getting one as a hide, for my wildlife shots.
Just thought I would share it with you wildlife photographers out there, as hides cost a lot of ££££££.

I am not sure they have a few style's and it's in the the new catalog, so must be out for the new season.
It's a pop up tent, so you dont have to mess around setting it up, just throw it up in the air and it comes down ready.

Now that's what I call a good headsup!

Might have to pop into Argos.

I think it might be the army camo version, just a poor picture.
If not you could always buy some camo net for around £8 and pop that over as well.

The Argos one is grey according to their site but I've ordered a army one from Ebay, It's only a couple of quid more.

Thanks for the find

You can get an Army camo version here

Buy 2 and rent him one for the festival;)

That looks great...could even get out the scissors to make some little peep holes!

It's a popup tent, so the fabric will be part of the structure. If you cut away too much, or it's prone to tearing, then it might destroy it. Pop it up and test to see how taught an area of fabric is before cutting.

Remember too that they are only a meter high, if you're spending a lot of time in there it could get to be very uncomfortable.

Good point Steep. I'd want to be able to get some sort of seat arrangement in there.

I think it would be a good idea to get some camo net.
Then this could be placed over the front of the tent and hide the lens popping through the front hole.

Shouldn't cause a problem, other than ripping maybe but thats easily prevented with a needle and thread!! The ebay video makes it all look fairly loose!

I used something similar for a festival a couple of years ago.
You can get a standard camping chair in them but just watch your head when sitting down/ standing up ;).

Also the one I had was an absolute nightmare to take down again :bang:. Would be interesting to know if this one's the same once someones had a chance to try it. Would save a lot of hassle this year if it works :D

Did anyone order the camo tent from the site EdinburghGary should us ?.
Thinking of geting one fro there but I am always unsure of ordering from Ebay sites.

There is another ebay shop doing them for £21.99 in forest camo

The one shown in the picture at the start of the thread is an Urban Combat style DPM, would be great for getting shots of the "wildlife" that hang around our local shops every evening, with their birdsong of drum'n'bass playing on their mobile phones. Have to be quick though, flighty little buggers on their 50cc mopeds (sans helmet). Although instead of using a Canon 400mm lens, id much prefer to use a 50mm Canon to shoot them.

Dean:)
