Cheap but sturdy tripod??

Can anyone recommend a cheap but sturdy tripod. I would like something thats about 150cm high.

Might be better to look for one that you think might suit your budget and then post asking about it. You should also say what you intend to put on it since different kit can vary in weight.

I was recommended a cheapy on Ebay (I think it was by marcel) which is still up sor sale here.

At the moment its for a canon eos 400d with kit lens. I don't really want to spend much more than £30.

One of our tripods is a Velbon CX-460 Tripod which we got for about the same price as warehouseexpress. Its a good basic tripod which is fairly light which is one of my major requirements and quite quick to deploy.

just got this one off amazon.co.uk- click here it was a real bargain at 16-quid! I leave it in the car for whenever I'm out and about, its very nice quality and has a very strong feel to it, with little touches here and there that make me love it!

I have just got my first ball & socket tripod and it is so much better than any of my other tripods, the camera can easy be levelled after setting up. Would checkout if its possible to get one cheap...........
