Is there such a thing or is the only option to spend £80 on a b+w screw on?

I know about welding glass but was just wondering if anyone could suggest anything else. :)

This is the cheapest I've seen - LCW ND500MC, nine stops, £53 in 77mm only (and out of stock!) http://www.premier-ink.co.uk/photog...raft-workshop-77mm-nd500mc-filter-p-2927.html

I hope to get to try one as soon as they come in. I'm thinking that, if it's reasonably neutral (they all have a slight tint) and being multi-coated, it could be the best of the bunch, as well as the cheapest.

Also check the LCW Fader ND, also from Premier Ink.

Thanks Richard, my lens has a 72mm thread so may have to look at other options.

Just a vote for www.dealextreme.com I've used them loads over the last couple of years and found them very reliable and prices are excellent.

I have just emailed them to confirm if they will be bringing out different sizes, i will keep this thread updated.
 
Just a quick update. Light Craft Workshop only plan to bring out the LCW ND500MC 77mm initially and then depending on its popularity they will decide on whether or not they want to produce different sizes.


Would a 72mm to 77mm step up ring introduce vignetting?

Very tempted to get it but cant really justify the price at the moment.
 
Just ordered the 77mm 10 stop.. Something new to have a play with!
 
Thoroughly recommend the BW 10 stop! Gets plenty of use from me :)

This is weird - their official outlet on eBay offers all sizes including 72mm.
