Just recently, I'm being plagued by this search engine. It keeps throwing itself onto my monitor even though Google is my preferred search engine (and my home page).

Is there any way I can block it or at least stop it from machine domination? It seems to ba all 3 machines that are infested with the problem - I'm sure it's not a button I've pressed accidentally!

Quite a bit on the 'net about this hijacker.

One suggestions is to boot in Safe Mode and run Malwarebytes.

I had one called snap.do

Was a case of going into control panel>uninstall a program and get rid of it from there, then go into your browsers settings and remove traces of it from there. It didn't show up anything in malwarebytes.

as Dave said though, a quick google will bring up plenty of info

I had this one hijacking the search engines on all browsers on the laptop thanks to my son, but it did not appear in the control panel (I think this is only if the toolbar has been installed). Manual attempts to restore my default search engines failed, but Adwcleaner appears to have sorted it (this tool found via Norton forums).
