I placed an order with ligo electronics and on their website they claimed an account is setup when an order is placed, and the return confirmation email contains a password. Sounds great doesn't it? What they have overlooked is if you pay by credit/debit card through someone like Paypal you have not paid directly to them.

By not paying direct as I mentioned the return email confirmation does not have a password attached

So no direct account has been set up so having a box on their web site saying " your account" is pointless. I think the programmer who set up their web pages needs a kick up the backside.
There should also be a box saying " set up account" which has been overlooked

I did email them about this oversite and to their credit they responded straight away but did have to explain the error for a second time to get a password to go with my email address

Why these companies don't fully test their web sites before going online beats me

Try getting hold of Simply Electronics. You email them, the reply goes to some sort of support ticket messenger on their website which you have to log in to separately (it's not part of your account). You get no email notifications of these replies. You can't reply to the support ticket so you have to email them. The phone line too doesn't work - it just gives you an automated message to email them!

The absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with!

I have heard before about Simple Electronic from somewhere before. I have not personally dealt with them but in the back of my mind warning bells have rung and I don't think I ever will make any purchase from them. But that is just me

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at ligo Electronics at the speed of response by email and also by telephone to check they had my full home address. If their delivery time frame is just as good Iwould consider using them again. even getting a password to me so quickly deserves a 5*

Only downside is the no account sign up as I have already explained

Yes you'd do well to avoid Simply IMO. I mistakenly thought they were a UK company I'd dealt with before but no, they most certainly are not!
