Just could not resist. Yashica T3 compact in mint condition for the princely sum of £1.50 from a charity shop
This is the third such camera I have had from similar shops. My daughter took one of these when she emigrated to Canada and untill a couple of months ago when she went digital she has been sending us lovely photos from the crisp Zeiss 2.8 lens. Shame these beauties are just being discarded. The best ever point and shoot by far.

Lucky you..... I've never found a bargain, for any photography gear, in a charity shop :(

You have to be persisitant.. 99.99% of the time a visits finds nothing.. but that 0.01% makes all the empty visits worthwhile :D

Well yes, but in another couple of months the boot sales start and that's where I get my bargains

sometimes Brian, you have to blow your 10p budget...

I know £1.50 seems expensive but its still considered a bargain even if you have to walk home...:D

 I'm still annoyed about that M42 Petri with a set of extension tubes I bought for £1.50...I really liked it (great viewfinder and TTL etc) but couldn't cure a light leak so broke it up for screws. ;)
