Hello,
Might be a daft question but as the title suggests I am off to the USA and was wondering if I will be able to charge the battery from my Sony a300 using a uk wall charger with a 2 pin adaptor as opposed to forking out for a different charger?
Any help on this much appreciated.

Yes the A Series Chargers are 100/240 so will work in the US with just a two prong adaptor.

JUst to reassure yourself look on the bottom of the charger block and it will show input as 100-240volt. That confirms its ok, only devices with input 220-240 volt are no good for the US.

My Daughter uses A Series and charges hers in the UK/US no problem

Many thanks Richard, checked the charger and it is 110-240v.
Cheers.

Assuming that the lead is a standard one with a figure-8 connector into the charger, I would get a US mains lead off ebay before you go. Takes up a lot less space than a UK lead and adaptor.
