Changing Copywrite

I purchased an almost new low useage Nikon D300 but when i open up pics to view Exif info i have taken then the copywrite is the old owners name. How do i change this info.

Change your name by deed poll to his name. Its quite easy and not expensive.

There is a Copyright info menu.

You can either uncheck the info (which won't embed any info at all), or edit the info so you name appear instead.

Look for the Image Comment entry.

Hi, i had the same on mine as PD say's un check the image comment box in the menuGreat camera though innit

I think he means the owner information embedded into the camera, which affects all the shots he takes.

I'm not sure with Nikon, but with Canon you have to plug in the camera via USB and then use the camera software provided. I assume Nikon is the same.

Yeah the lat owners name is in every pic i take. I will read through the doorstep ( sorry owners manual ) and see if there is anything in there to help.

Do as I said as said in post #3.

If that doesn't work, look for a menu option thats says Copyright.

Its not hard, and you don't need a manual for this.

its in the setup menu, under "copyright information"

In there you can set the name of the artist and the copyright info.
