I've been given a copy of the proof for my business cards from my friend who's printed them up. What I want to do is use a portion of my business card as the header for my Photium site. The text is to remain the same, however my business cards are a dark grey whereas my website header is black.

Using Photoshop I have cropped the part I want to use, resized it and saved it as a png etc, but how do I keep the text intact while changing the background from grey to black?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can change the colour of your website header to match your card or to change the colour could you not use the magic eraser to select just the background I did the same for my header it was quite easy but I can't remember how if your stuck pm me the file and I'll change it for you

Thanks, I don't want to change the website colour so it has to be the card. I'll give the eraser a go and see what occurs.

Cheers

You can open and edit PDFs in Photoshop/Illustrator (or at least.... a few I've worked on have had that facility! It may depend on how it was encoded)

Yep, I can open it, I just can't change the background colour of the business card itself (My PS skills are amateur to say the very least!

When I've done it, it's opened up all the elements as layers... if you've got this far, add a new layer and fill it with your new colour then make sure it is at the bottom of the layer list!

open it it in illustrator or coreldraw, it would then be very simple to change the colour and re-export to a bitmap file format

Thanks! Just spent an hour downloading the trial of Illustrator but it did the trick
