have any other noobs noticed the way they think changing since starting photography, i find myself walking past things and thinking that would make a good shot, and wishing i had my camera with me ALL the time, is this just me am i becoming a photogeek? (not thats theres anything wrong with that of course

Im never without camera... the way I look at it is this... I've got quite a bit of moolah invested in gear and it serves no purpose if its on the kitchen table, unless of course youre on the table too. The further away I go, the more stuff I bring. There's alot of talk reguarding which camera is the best. It is my opinion that the best camera is the one you have with you.

I carry my camera 50% of the time when out and about.
If I don't have a camera and spot some thing interesting I'll make a mental note to go back when the light is best for that situation. Of course I do kick myself if the light is perfect and no camera!!

I wasn't quite that far into it, I bought a DSLR primarily to take pictures of our young son and while I had started to take other pictures, I hadn't done many. Then some scrote stole it and I'm still waiting for a replacement.

I do seem to be spending an increasing amount of time on here reading about the subject though ;)

I carry my bridge camera with me most of the time now a days as it so is light. But you are right about looking at things differently - when I took up watercolours I saw so many different hues I never noticed before.
