I hope I am posting this in the correct section. I have a couple of external WD hard drives attached to my PC one where I keep my RAW files and another that I now use for any that I have processed in PS.All was fine I then added another drive for some other files and my WD Duo drive letter changed from L to N now when I open Ligh troom it says missing photos as I don't want go through all my photos doing the find missing photos so they now shown under the N drive and not the L drive. Is there anyway I can the drive letter back to L so light room sees them all.

i guess its windows? you just need to go to "disk management" right click on the drive and it will be an option to "change drive letter and paths..."

windows key + R to open run box then type Diskmgmt.msc

Thanks for the replies, got the same info from the IT guy at work today, gave it a try but the letter that I did have assigned to the disk does not come up as an option. looks like I will just have to relocate a the collection of folders instead.

If it's greyed out, it means another device is using it, sounds like something has changed your drive letters.

Correction, "if it's not visible"

Alan unplug all other external drives and plug that one drive in and try to rename again. I had the same problem and now I give drives a letter and attach the letter to the drive so I don't forget letter it was allocated.

Tried that but still just showed it as it's new letter, looks I will just have to move my catalogue to the new drive designation. At least it looks like it going to be raining in the morning ;)
