Change background Colour

Hi,

Just messing about in CS3 trying to learn a few tips and tricks... Can anyone give me a quick pointer in changing the background colour of the picture below? Is it just a case of having a steady hand with the lasoo or is there an easier way?

Yes, just use the colour replace tool.
Select tool, Choose colour in colour picker that you would like for new background. mode colour, find edges, tolerance 35%. Then just brush over the backgound. If you need clearer instructions just let me know.

Just tried it out to show you. Forgot to mention you must click on the colour you want to replace to start.

You can also use the select>Colour Range tool to select the background. Then with the background selected add a hue/sat layer and then you can adjust the hue/sat to get whatever colour you want. The good thing about having it as a layer means that you can keep changing it when you like by dbl clicking it.

or if u want to take it out completely sit for a while with the pentool. Its way easier than the lasso tool for making selections.

Or if you have CS3 use the new selection tool. It works like magic, and far easier than the pentool or lasso tool.
