Missed it - late home from work. was going to watch it, but sounds like I didn't miss much though ...

I was about to post up a topic asking what people thought of it, being very new to photography I didn't know what was good or bad about it, KIPAX what pee'vd you off most about it? I take it the professional women knew what she was on about?

take two photographers.. teach them how to do weddings.. then send them to a real one... they get lost and arrive as bride and groom coming out of church..

the killer was when one of them stated how at the reception the speakers/speech makers? had a window behind them so all the light coming in from that... they showed an example pic they took of a bright window with a dark blur for the speaker... but they where well happy as when they turned to the guests there was plenty of light from the window..

apart from that it was all cheesy cheese cheese for me :(

I didn't see it, but it sadly sounds very familiar

The half hour (minus adverts) program was always going to have a lot to live up to with a title like that. I watched this series last year, overall its not too bad, with some good photographs at the end of a few episodes.
I think its pitched at the mass market and couldnt quite meet the expectations of some photographers who take their art more seriously. It is still good to see photography programs on the telly IMHO

Now hundreds more people who have just bought a £200 camera will think, hey i could do that, looks easy. Nevermind your camera is going to be a big problem in the church with low light. Did they turn up late and just happen to miss the ceremony? I think not

Programs like this should stick to landscape, taking pics of your own kids, wildlife stuff that we all want to be good at. Not Weddings

I also watched this and although I am, I guess just an amateur Photography shooting as a hobby really. Noticed that about the window etc and made chuckle.

I also found myself telling the TV how they clipped off peoples arms and heads etc and one of the "good" photos there was a good portion of the brides dress missing at the bottom which I thought was poor!
I am not a Professional Tog and wouldn't dream of being the tog for a wedding but damn I could of done a better job for sure! lol

the perverse thing is... i will probably watch it next week to see if its as bad again :(

Ah, you wait till you see the one on sport Tony! Bob Martin was the expert as well...

You will throw something, I guarantee.

I saw this series last year...there is plenty of evidence on here as to how little I know and I learned....nope, can't remember a thing.

I suggest you ensure your home insurance includes furious exchanges with inanimate objects that result in breakages ;)

Pretty well known in sports circles and also the directing mind behind the photography set up for the LOG along with Dylon Bryden.

I watched this in the hope of learning something. I suppose there was a bit about how to go about taking the shots but there was nothing to point you in the right direction as regards settings etc. E.G. The expert said about not using flash but I didn’t learn what to do to ensure getting a properly exposed image - presumably changing the ISO, correct focus?
Not much good to me - except for seeing Suzy Perry (sorry).

Oh dear I caught it last night mainly because the wife switched over channels, what a comedy. Supposedly shooting a REAL wedding, getting lost and turning up at the church as the bride and groom were coming out. The reception images being taken on a compact, priceless. The only good thing to come out of it was to show how hard it is to photograph a wedding.

How to take stunning pictures, more like "How to screw up a wedding"

I love everything about photography but that program is not something I would watch again.

I am with you Kipax my plasma almost got a beating lol.

if i remember right the sport one is with horses and show jumping? wasn't to bad, would be better if it was just the pro shooting and no-one else

I watched most of them last year, and have watched the Martin Parr one a couple more times, and thought they were good. Admittedly I haven't seen the wedding episode because weddings hold no interest me in any shape or form!

You have to remember the target audience is point-and-shooters. If you take your camera nerd head off before watching you might appreciate them more. ;)

Seen it first time round and definitely worth missing the 2nd time around!

I feel sorry for the pro`s at the next wedding they do when every "uncle bob and aunty betty " will be acting like proffesionals

This program was tragic! It was obviously done by the gadget show people. Not just because Suzie mutton dressed up as goat Perry was presenting it but also because of the way they set up the whole revenue generating 'answer this silly questions' and win this large volume of prizes. I was waiting for the pro to tell the American bird that being the head bridesmaid and the photographer at the same time at your sisters wedding was moronic at best... The advice never came.

I think I did see the sports one last time around, i think it was show jumping iirc.

But surely with this showing people giving a mater class in a day it might have been informative by explaing where they went wrong with settings etc etc rather than just pointing where they went wrong with light.

But the wedding one did a seem a bit of a farce. Also would you really want a photographer kneeling down at the end of a swing taking pictures with you in a wedding dress.

Any as was said before you cant help but watch it again mine is series linked LOL

Should really get a copy of this and show it at every wedding fayre when I get people who tell me they are having friends and family shoot their wedding. Sorry but unless that friend really knows their stuff, this is what you could get :)

Saw it, Watched it, laughed most of the way thought it  it was a Sit-com right, I'm sure it's not really a documentary/informative show really  I much also be perverse as I have it series linked :gag:

looking at the comments that people can post on the show a lot seem to have been removed by the mods.

I've only seen part of one of them - seems ok for mr and mrs point and shoot but perhaps the title of the show is a tad optimistic for the rest of us!

Ok so since we all hated this programme who watched the next episode?? lol it about landscapes with renowned photography Charlie Waite, cant say ive heard of him, and tbh I thought he taught them nothing? I struggle to understand this show lol

Tonight! Take photos like a ********* fly really?? walk round not looking at your camera and press the shooter "take 1000 photos you'll get one good one" words of the "professional"
How are they Photographers!!???
