Welcome back to reality John, I'll pop in and see you again early next week with Helen this time. I'm working till Sunday (with a late start tomorrow to go to the Lencarta studio day). Hope the magazine kept you amused. How were the kids? Have they been able to see you yet?

Had no sign of life all weekend (slackers) then along comes Physio and asks me if I can get out of bed on my own? I not only got out of bed I walked the whole ward and then up and down the stairs on the corridor. They looked a little gobsmacked but it's another success for the NHS :lol:

I am now out of hospital and blew 550 on their peak flow meter (best before going in was 350) Did I want out?? Thanks again for all the well wishes I have a lot of catching up to do. first though I have some quality time to spend with the kids.

550? I can never manage more than 450...lol and I've never been as ill as you have with it. Nice one! :thumbs:

I must say that anyone that thinks our NHS is in trouble must have been in the five hour queue for a fracture or wound awaiting stitching or something similar :)

I had no queue myself and totally missed all the "tutting" people that had to wait patiently for their bones to be fixed or wounds to be stitched as I was wheeled past them at a rate of knots :lol: This is at least the second time my life has been extended by our good old NHS and probably more likely several. I have nothing but admiration for our hospitals and their staff but wonder how long I would have had if I was an American?
 
Good man. The NHS deserves all the praise in the world. Most people who criticize it don't realize just how good it truly is, and how lucky we are to live in a nation with such a wonderful service.
